1 Strong alkalinity
KOH completely dissociates in water, providing high concentrations of OH ? ions, making it a potent neutralizing agent and reaction medium.

Easy to dissolve in water, ethanol, and glycerol, especially with a higher solubility in water than sodium hydroxide (NaOH), making it easy to prepare high concentration solutions.

Application of Potassium Hydroxide
1. Chemical production
Potassium salt manufacturing: producing potassium carbonate, potassium phosphate, etc., used in the glass, ceramic, and fertilizer industries.
Biodiesel: catalyzes the ester exchange reaction of oils and fats, often with higher efficiency than NaOH.
