 Formic acid (HCOOH) is an important organic acid with unique chemical properties and is widely used in multiple fields.

1 Strong acidity
Formic acid is the strongest acid among carboxylic acids (pKa ≈ 3.75), with stronger acidity than acetic acid, making it suitable for reactions or treatment scenarios that require high acidity.

2 reducibility
The molecule contains aldehyde structures and can be used as a reducing agent to participate in metal surface treatment (such as electroplating) and certain organic synthesis reactions.

3 Antibacterial and anti-corrosion measures
